This 40-pound bull mahi was caught on a flyrod by angler Konnor Ross, 12, in Abaco, Bahamas. Konnor, from Tavernier, was with his dad Paul Ross, his uncle Capt. Greg Eklund and mate Jordan Wolk over Easter break.

An international group of anglers had a great day recently fishing aboard the Gold Reserve charter boat docked out of the Post Card Inn at Holiday Isle Resort and Marina. Fishing were Dick Ames, Shawn Dahl and Tom Moore from Minnesota and Sandro Michel from Switzerland.
Angler Dave Heeter fishing with captain Jim Sharpe on the charter boat Sea Boots out of Summerland Key landed an estimate 500 pound sword fish. The sword fish was 137 inches long with a girth of 48 inches. The fish had to be towed in from 30 miles offshore Jim and Dave could not get the sword into the boat. The fight lasted 2 hours on a deep drop reel with 80 pound test line.
