A personal watercraft crashed into the mangroves near the Lingnumvitae Key Bridge on Lower Matecumbe Key in Islamorada Monday afternoon.
Officer Bobby Dube, with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said it appears the lady driving the vessel, whose identity was not immediately known, suffered minor injuries.
She and another person were taken to Mariners Hospital, said Deputy Becky Herrin, spokeswoman for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m.
Initial reports state one person's leg was broken and another suffered a sprain.
Dube said the vessel was part of a personal watercraft tour.
