A murder suspect from Miami-Dade County was arrested in Marathon early Monday after being found fishing in a no-fishing zone.
Sgt. Chuck Kellenberger from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrested Yoan Estenoz, 41, around 2:30 a.m. at the old Seven Mile Bridge, which the state Department of Transportation closed to fishing several years ago. Estenoz, from Hialeah, was with other people around 2:30 a.m. when Kellenberger walked up to them to tell them about the ban.
They started packing their things as the sergeant asked for ID. When Estenoz's name came back in a computer check, it showed the homicide charge from Hillsborough County. He was taken into custody and will be sent back to Hillsborough to face the charge.
Details of the murder case weren't available.
