Police: Sex offender caught nude at Anne's Beach

A Key Largo man with a record as a sexual offender was arrested Wednesday after visitors to Anne's Beach in Islamorada reported seeing him nude.

Guillermo Alejandro Garcia, 46, was booked into the Plantation Key Detention Center on two felony counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and seven misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure — one for each person who reported seeing him.

He remained jailed Thursday under a $151,000 bond.

Garcia also was charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest without violence and giving false identification to the arresting officer from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Additional details of the case were pending at press time.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's sexual-offender registry shows Garcia was convicted in Monroe County on counts of lewd and lascivious behavior in 2001 and 2006.
