Deland teens arrested in Keys driving stolen car. Troopers found two guns inside vehicle

Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested two Deland, Fla. teens driving a stolen car Wednesday afternoon in Tavernier after a brief chase.

The boys, ages 15 and 17, were stopped on Tavernier Drive and Coconut Lane near mile marker 91.5, on the ocean side of U.S. 1, around 12:30 p.m., according to the FHP.

The 2015 Nissan Altima they were driving was reported stolen from Lake City.

An FHP trooper saw the car speeding south at mile marker 93 on U.S. 1 and gave chase. The Altima traveled over the center median just west of Coconut Lane before coming to a stop at a dead end.

The teens were arrested without further incident. Troopers found two guns in the car.
