A Conch Key man was jailed Wednesday after state police said he uploaded 64 images of child pornography to an internet photo sharing website, in a case that began six months ago when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forwarded a tip to South Florida.

David Earl Walsh, 40, a photographer, faces 128 felony charges related to possession of child pornography — 64 counts of possessing obscene material depicting child sex conduct and 64 counts of electronically transmitting such images.

The images include a dozen pornographic images of girls age 12 or under, six photographs under age 6 and 46 images of girls age 18 or under, according to a redacted arrest warrant by Special Agent Mike Langston of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Earlier this year, the FDLE received a tip from the national center via a Broward County police task force: Between Oct. 26 and Dec. 17, 2015, 64 images of suspected child porn were uploaded to an account on Flickr, an internet photo-sharing site owned by Yahoo. Through the Flickr account, state agents tracked down the IP address for Comcast in Marathon and obtained a subpoena.

The FDLE seized Walsh’s Samsung laptop, iPhone, iPod and an external hard disk while serving a search warrant March 31, states the released arrest warrant, of which several parts are deleted including Page 6, which is blacked out.

The deletions follow the exceptions to Florida’s public records law that prevent agencies from identifying victims of child abuse and sexual battery or releasing Social Security numbers, personal information in a motor vehicle record, a driver’s license photograph or information in an active investigation, said FDLE spokeswoman Molly Best.

On May 12, Walsh met with FDLE agents at their Sugarloaf Key field office for a sworn, recorded interview, the warrant states before the next page is blacked out.

Of the total charges, 92 are third-degree felonies which carry up to five years each upon conviction and the remaining 36 are second-degree felonies which carry up to 15 years each.

Walsh at 10 a.m. Wednesday turned himself in to FDLE at the agency’s Marathon office. He was placed in the county jail in Marathon with bond was set at $410,000.

A native of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Walsh is listed in jail records as a resident of Palm Beach Gardens but told Florida police he lives alone in a trailer off Conch Avenue on Conch Key,
