Names shouldn’t be redacted in murder-for-hire case

In regard to your recent coverage of the Bruce Schmitt attempted-murder-for-hire investigation, I am troubled that the U.S. Attorney’s Office continues to redact the names of two conspirators in the crime from the transcript of the recording of Dennis Zecca, [convicted in the case and serving 10 years in prison]. The focus should be on protecting the victim, not the perpetrators of the crime. Mr. Schmitt deserves to know the names of all those who participated in this crime.
