Gomez on Tuesday was being held by police in the city of Juarez, said Adam Linhardt, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

A second suspect in the killing Mayque Marin Gomez, 31, remains at large.

A second man was wounded in the gunfire, but survived. Iliecer Noa, 43, was airlifted to a Miami hospital on June 15.

Clemente died at the crime scene, a commercial fishing-trap yard in the 5000 block of 5th Avenue known locally as “La Curva.”

Police have offered no motive for the shooting, other than to say it involved a Mercedes-Benz and was a “targeted hit,” not a random crime.

All four men involved in the incident live on Stock Island.
